Lego challenge

Use Lego materials to create an original work of art at the Summer Reading Lego Building Challenge at the Douglas County Public Library. Enter creations at the Minden library by Saturday. Winners announced July 22 and displayed through July 31.The Lego Challenge is sponsored by the Friends of the Douglas County Library. The Douglas County Public Library is at 1625 Library Lane in Minden.

Origami

Sign up by Saturday to learn origami, the Japanese art of paper folding, with instructor Dennis Little, 4 p.m. July 20, at the Douglas County Public Library in Minden. For ages 5 to adult.

Make and play drums

Smokey's birthday
