Couple to appear in court in child sex case

An Indian Hills couple is scheduled to appear in East Fork Justice Court today in connection with charges they had sex with a 14-year-old girl.

Julie Fry-Cruz, 34, and Donald J. Reynolds, 43, were extradicted from Salt Lake City after a warrant was issued for their arrest in June.

Fry-Cruz is being held in Douglas County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail. Reynolds is in jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.

The incident came to light when Fry-Cruz told someone else about an encounter between her and the girl. That person reported the incident to authorities.

Douglas County deputies spoke with Fry-Cruz, who allegedly admitted the incident.

The warrant for their arrest was issued on June 23.
