Wine making class offered

Gardnerville winemaker Archie Reed teaches classes on how to make wine beginning Jan. 7 at the University of Nevada, Reno, Cooperative Extension office, 1329 Waterloo Lane, Gardnerville. At least 12 participants are needed to sign up by Dec. 15.

The five-week long course costs $275 and includes everything needed to make wine except the bottles. The wine ingredient kit offers 12 choices of white and red wines. Expect to make 30 bottles of the wine of your choice and have the equipment and knowledge to make wine at home for $2 per bottle.
