Sign up by April 29 for wine making class

Gardnerville wine maker Archie Reed teaches how to make wine beginning 7 p.m. May 12 at the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension office, 1329 Waterloo Lane, Gardnerville. At least 6 participants are needed to sign up by April 29.

The five-week long course costs $275 and includes everything needed to make wine except the bottles. Classes are May 12, 19, 26, June 2 and 9.

The wine ingredient kit offers 12 choices of white and red wines. Expect to make 30 bottles of the wine of your choice and have the equipment and knowledge to make wine at home for $2 per bottle.
