Thunder for Memorial Day

Today would not be a good day to go golfing or boating. The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Western Nevada due to an increased chance of thunderstorms. While most thunderstorm activity will be north of Highway 50, it will bring with it hail and locally heavy rainfall ... Oh, and lighting. Pea sized hail fell in Silver Springs on Sunday night. Most of the weather is hitting in the east, where the Pine Nuts have a glazing of snow. A quarter inch of moisture fell in Fish Springs on Sunday. A total of .15 inches fell in the Gardnerville Ranchos.
