The Carson Valley Arts Council's third annual Gingerbread House Decorating Contest is Dec. 3-15 at Carson Valley Museum & Cultural Center in Gardnerville. Entry deadline is Dec. 1. Gingerbread houses will be displayed at the museum until Dec. 15 with a reception 1-3 p.m. Dec. 3.
All ages and skill levels are invited. Gingerbread structures will be judged on presentation, quality of construction, detail and design and originality. The public is invited to vote for a favorite gingerbread structure in the People's Choice Award.

The Gingerbread Decorating Contest is presented in part by the Carson Valley Arts Council and Douglas County Parks & Recreation Department and sponsored by Greater Nevada Credit Union and As You Like It.
