The Carson Valley Arts Councils' third annual Gingerbread House Decorating Contest begins Monday and continues through Dec. 15.
The gingerbread houses will be on display, Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Carson Valley Museum & Cultural Center, 1477 Highway 395, Gardnerville.
The public is invited to vote for favorite gingerbread structures until 3 p.m. Dec. 14. Winners will be announced at the artisan's reception, 1-3 p.m. Dec. 15. Refreshments will be served.
The Gingerbread Decorating Contest is presented by the Carson Valley Arts Council and Douglas County Parks & Recreation and sponsored by Greater Nevada Credit Union and As You Like It.
