Sertoma sponsors bingo

Carson Valley Sertoma Bingo begins Saturday at the Douglas County Senior Center dining room, 2300 Meadow Lane, Gardnerville. The doors open at 11 a.m. The fun begins with the early birds at 12:30 p.m. and the regular session at 1 p.m.

For those who like to come early, early birds are two-packs for $4 with extra packs priced at only $2. The buy-in for the regular session is two-packs for $10 and those wishing additional packs can purchase them for $5.

Progressive blackout is $1 per sheet. It starts at $200 in 48 numbers. However, if not hit in 48 numbers, the winner is paid 50 percent of sales for the blackout and it will progress $50 and one number each session until hit.

Hot dogs, snacks and drinks will be sold for those who work up an appetite while playing. There will also be free raffle prizes, popcorn and coffee.

All the money Sertoma raises is donated back to the community. Future Sertoma bingo events will be on July 7, Sept. 1, Oct. 6 and Dec. 1.
