Firefighters responding to two fires

East Fork firefighters are responding to a reported brush fire at Pinon and Ballman ways in Topaz Ranch Estates at about 11:21 a.m.

This is the second fire in 20 minutes for firefighters, who are still on the scene of an estimated 3-5 acre fire near Gardnerville.

The south county fire may have been sparked by a downed power line. The Gardnerville fire appears to be a controlled burn that got out of hand.
