Three of the four children in a duplex fire in the Gardnerville Ranchos learned not to burn in part thanks to the East Fork Fire & Paramedic District's fire safety trailer program, according to Fire Marshal Steve Eisele. Fire drills in the home made a big contribution to the family's survival of the fire that woke them up at 4:20 a.m. Wednesday. In all four adults and six children have been displaced by the fire.
