The Airport roadshow lands on Mitch Drive 6 p.m. today as the county continues to seek public comment on three proposed options for a ballot question in November. Today's session is 6 p.m. at the Gardnerville Ranchos Volunteer Fire Department.
The Carson City bypass through to Fairview is opening 2 p.m. today. This is the first of the southern segments and will actually contribute to improving the commute from Douglas to Reno. I watched saw the state workers scrape the "Freeway Ends" off the sign on Sunday.
The Minden-Douglas Elks are hosting the last taco night of the year tonight at their lodge on Pit Road in the Gardnerville Ranchos. Taco night is 5-7 p.m. The tacos are 12 bits each.
The high temperatures are going to be sniffing around 90 the rest of this week and through the weekend for what I'm betting is the last time of the year. The National Weather Service is forecasting a real cool-down next week with the high dropping into the 70s on Wednesday.
