Radio station sponsors gun giveaway

99.1 FM Talk KKFT announces an ongoing promotion of giving away a gun every quarter through 2007.

The station has teamed up with The Sportsman's Warehouse in Reno and Legacy Sports International to give away a Howa bolt-action rifle in a .300 Winchester magnum caliber, with scope and a special Hogue stock this quarter.

The station is also giving away a pair of Schnee's boots. Schnee's is a family owned business known for making some of the best hunting boots for the most extreme conditions. Schnee's is located in Bozeman, Mont., and owned by a former Nevada resident, Jon Edwards.

More information is available on KKFT's web site www.991fmtalk.com and available on the air during the station's Gun Talk show on Sundays 11 a.m. Ð 2 p.m. and the Field & Stream radio show on Sundays at 2 p.m.

99.1 FM Talk features a variety of conservative news-talk programming and outdoor programming including features from the Nevada Department of Wildlife.

The winner must be a legal resident of Nevada and pass the background check required by the Federal government.

"Seems like a perfect fit for an area known for its enthusiasm for hunting," owner Douglas County resident Jerry Evans said.
