The Evans Broadcast Co., announced today that its country format station is now simulcasting on 93.5 FM.

"My Country" AM 1300 has been the No. 1 rated radio station in Carson City and has been broadcasting since 1954.

Recently, the Federal Communications Commission ruled that AM stations could be allowed to simulcast on FM translators.

KCMY may be the first in Nevada to do so. The Evans Broadcast purchased 93.5 FM in April 2009 in anticipation of the rulemaking by the FCC.

The Evans Broadcast Company was the first Fox News affiliate in Nevada on KCMY and co-owned 99.1 FM Talk KKFT, the first FM News-Talk station in Nevada, and now, the first AM/FM translator simulcast.
