Lady Wolves stay hot in league play



The Coleville Lady Wolves pushed their New Year's winning streak to seven in a row with a 51-17 win at Gabbs Saturday.


Coleville was led by Jolene Sam with 14 points, 11 rebounds, four assists and five steals.


Amara Rowley also played a balanced game with 13 points and eight steals.


Brittany Tunstall had her best game of the season scoring six points and grabbing eight rebounds.


Dani Peters added six points with Jesslyn Sturdivant and Kimberly Torley scoring four points apiece.


The victory kept the Lady Wolves (5-0) in first place in the Western 1A.


Earlier in the week, Coleville defeated Mineral County, a 2A school, 44-34.


Rowley led all scorers with 17 points. She also had 10 rebounds and eight steals in outstanding performance.


Also playing well were Sturdivant with eight points and five steals and Sam with six points and five assists.


Breezy Rupp tied for the rebound lead with 10 points.


Coleville is now 10-3 overall.
