Girls' Basketball: Coleville sweeps Gerlach, Pyramid Lake

The Coleville Lady Wolves basketball team opened Western 1A League play with wins over Gerlach and Pyramid Lake.


The Wolves topped Gerlach 37-32 Friday night despite trailing for most of the game. Coleville rode a 10-0 fourth quarter to the win.


Kimberly Torley scored six of her team-high 17 points to lead Coleville while Amara Rowley scored 12 and Kassie Pemberton and Skyler Isbell each added four points.


Rowley and Torley each had 13 rebounds.


On Saturday, Coleville jumped out to a 29-12 first-half lead and then held on for a 57-51 win over Pyramid Lake.


Rowley led the Wolves with 26 points, 13 rebounds, five assists and seven steals.


Torley added 10 points and 10 rebounds and Kymberlee Curti had nine points and five rebounds.


Skyler Isbell added six points and five rebounds.


The Wolves opened the week with a 50-23 win at Hawthorne.


Rowley came up just one assist short of a remarkable quadruple-double with 18 points, 16 rebounds, 13 steals and nine assists.


Torley had 13 points and 16 rebounds, Pemberton added eight points and Isbell had seven.


Coleville is 2-0 in league play and 7-4 overall. The Wolves host Excel Christian Thursday and travel to Smith Valley Friday.
