Young dancers perform nightly this week

The Dance Workshop Dancers are presenting "A Midwinter Night's Dream" through Sunday. Performances are taking place 6:30 p.m. today, Saturday and Sunday. The show's first performances were on Wednesday and Thursday.

The teachers at the Dance Workshop have choreographed pieces to celebrate winters. Elements included are Christmas presents that never get returned, dreams of a winter break, the winter blues and the weather. Music selected includes a wide range from Vivaldi's Winter to California Dreamin'.

The Dance Workshop dancers present the shows with a cast of 60-plus dancers in each performance. They are kicking up their heels in numbers of tap, ballet, jazz and musical theater. Local dancers, ages 3-18, participate in this family entertainment.

The performances are held at the Dance Workshop Little Theater at 1697 County Road. Seating is limited but there are tickets available at the door for each show.

Stop by the Dance Workshop or call 782-8717 if you would like to purchase tickets in advance.

Tickets are $5. Doors open one hour prior to each performance.
