Single-lane closures will periodically take place through Friday on Highway 395 south of Gardnerville in Douglas County as part of a Nevada Department of Transportation highway improvement project.
Single lane closures will periodically take place 6a.m.-6p.m. daily on short sections of the highway from the Nevada-California state line to Ray May Way as crews complete finishing shoulder and pavement work.
Traffic flaggers and pilot cars will alternate directions of traffic through the work zone.
While most delays will be minor, motorists should anticipate travel delays of up to 30 minutes and are reminded to drive safely and follow all traffic signage, according to the state.
Periodic shoulder and single lane closures have been in place since early 2024 as the aging roadway surface of Highway 395 has been reconstructed between the Nevada-California state line and Ray May Way.
The project represents an approximate $21 million investment in preserving and enhancing the highway south of Gardnerville.
