A man arrested after an April 9 midnight pursuit around the Gardnerville Ranchos admitted to eluding police officers, but denied he was in violation of probation.
Jason Glen Morgan, 46, was arrested after leading deputies on a high speed chase down Highway 88, Dresslerville, the Ranchos Sandpits, through the Ranchos, and down Long Valley Road reaching speeds of 110 mph in some areas, before being stopped by a grappling device.
According to court documents, the arrest was reported as a violation of his probation, but Morgan denied the violations.
Morgan faces up to six years in prison.
An evidentiary hearing on whether he violated conditions of probation is schedule for June 16.
Sentencing for the eluding charge is scheduled for Aug. 4.

Manuel Parra-Lopez, 24, was arrested along with co-defendants; Rosario Quinonez-Garcia, Gerson Arango, 31, Jenifer Lara-Vasquez, 27, and the fifth still at large, on April 19 after being stopped in a vehicle behind Carson Valley Plaza. The charges include possession of paraphernalia, burglary of a business, conspiracy, possession of burglary tools, possession of controlled substance, and possession of stolen property.
During his arrest, Parra-Lopez fled on foot and was charged with resisting and obstructing a police officer after he was found.
According to court documents, the decision to approve diversion awaits a drug abuse evaluation.

Kellie Grace Byers, 48, was arrested in April in possession of other people’s identification, including three different driver’s license.
According to court documents, the identifications cards were stolen from vehicles.
Prosecutor Rick Casper said Byers had prior convictions and arrests involving drug use and paraphernalia.
Byers was sentenced to 18-60 months in prison. She was granted 100 days credit.
