The Hot Air for Hope Carson Valley Balloon Festival will return to Lampe Park in Gardnerville from May 17–19.

The festival is organized and operated by the Carson Valley Balloon Festival, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization designed to promote ballooning in the Valley.

The festival has once again selected the Center for Hope and Healing as the primary beneficiary of the balloon festival’s proceeds. The Center has worked to support grieving families in the Valley since 2008 to start the healing process as they navigate the loss of their loved ones.

“Carson Valley is one of the most ideal and beautiful places in the country to fly hot air balloons,” Carson Valley Balloon Festival President Greg Nelson. “We are thrilled to continue this event that not only shares our passion for the sport of ballooning with our community but also supports an important cause through the contributions to the Center for Hope and Healing.”

The festival is free to the public and all events will be held at Lampe Park. This will include balloon launches from Lampe Park, weather permitting.

On May 17, the public is invited to walk around Lampe Park and view balloon baskets up-close on display while enjoying food trucks and a musical performance.

On May 18 at Lampe Park, the morning will kick off with a balloon launch event, followed by a special day that includes local vendors selling their creations alongside live performances and food trucks throughout the day.

The community is welcome to come enjoy the balloons up-close, take pictures and learn more about ballooning. If your business is interested in becoming a sponsor of this exciting community event, please contact Event Director Amanda Johnson contact@hotairforhope.com.
