Tonight the hot air balloons participating in Hot Air for Hope will light up Lampe Park in Gardnerville at dusk.

Hot Air for Hope Balloon Festival continues 5 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The festival is organized and operated by the Carson Valley Balloon Festival, a nonprofit organization designed to promote ballooning in the Valley.

There will be live performances, food trucks and a craft fair in addition to the balloons on Saturday.

Visit hotairforhope.com for up-to-date information.

Center for Hope and Healing is the primary beneficiary of the balloon festival’s proceeds. The Center has worked to support grieving families in the Valley since 2008 to start the healing process as they navigate the loss of their loved ones.
