Genoa, Nev. — The Regional Transportation Commission awarded the base bid for Muller Lane Parkway on Wednesday. County Transportation Engineer Jon Erb said the rest of the project will move forward once all the FEMA approvals are worked out.

Alta Alpina Cycling Club’s annual spring membership party is 6 p.m. April 11 at the CVIC Hall in Minden.  The club will be conducting its rider roundup on Saturday.

Douglas County is looking for applicants to the Airport Advisory and Audit committees. Two members’ terms expire on the audit committee and the airport advisory committee vacancy was due to the death of A.J. Ursic. Visit www.douglascountynv.gov/government/county_boards_and_commissions to apply.

Update: An underground fault caused a four-hour outage in Round Hill at Lake Tahoe that affected 455 NV Energy customers at 1:20 a.m., according to the company. A spokeswoman said troubleshooters indicated there wasn't a fire.

We’re looking at another sunny day with the high forecast to hit 75 degrees. The wind will start out of the southeast at 5-15 mph shifting west this afternoon. The spring weather yo-yo picks up again on Friday night.
