Genoa, Nev. — It sounds like the driver of a vehicle involved in a rollover on Highway 88 near the top of Woodfords Canyon this morning was at least ambulatory. The collision was reported at 5:40 a.m. today and it was clear by 7 a.m.

The Airport Advisory Committee will discuss what they’d like to see happen with Minden-Tahoe Airport’s management. The committee is also proposing a subcommittee to explore bringing military demonstrations to perform. The advisors meet 6 p.m. at the Douglas County Courthouse in Minden. Visit www.douglascountynv.gov for more information.

There’s no mail today and federal offices are closed for Columbus Day. State and local offices are open, since Nevadans traded today’s holiday for Nevada Day, which will be observed Oct. 27 this year. The parade is Oct. 28 in Carson City.

After a sultry October weekend, anticipate a change in the weather with the low temperature forecast to hit 30 degrees in Minden on Thursday morning. There’s a chance of showers on Tuesday.

It likely won’t rain today, but it will be cooler with the high temperature at 73 degrees under mostly cloudy skies and a southwest wind out of the southwest at 15-20 mph, gusting to 30 mph.
