With just two shopping months until Christmas, the next few weekends will see three separate craft shows.

On Friday, the Touch of Class Craft Show enters its 21st year and its ninth at the Carson Valley Inn.

“Our craft show is very unique in the way that we do not have booths,” organizers said. “It is set up like a boutique with central cashiers and one place to pay for all purchases.”

The show has 31 crafters and all handmade items. Admission is free.

On Nov. 4, neighboring churches along Gardnerville’s Highway to Heaven will host their annual craft shows.

There will be Christmas decorations, custom-made wreaths, Christmas trees, décor galore, holiday linens and holiday themed clothes.  Santa will be onhand to welcome children of all ages, and available for that “special holiday picture.”

Santa will also be available for pictures with your pet 3-4 p.m.

Closer to town, the Heavenly Holiday Faire is 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Carson Valley United Methodist Church, 1375 Centerline Lane.

“Our church members and friends have been busy all year old making the highest quality handmade decor, jewelry, knit and crocheted wear and a wide range of gift items,” said Co-Chairs Sharon Calvert and Beverly Griffith-Williams. “The homemade cinnamon rolls usually sell out early. We have been busy for months collecting raffle basket and unique silent auction items. We are so appreciative of the dozens of artisans, volunteers, sponsors and helpers that make this a success each year.”

The show features handcrafted gifts, fall and Christmas holiday decorations, wreaths, table centerpieces, candy, unique gifts, timeless treasures, candy and baked goodies at the Heavenly Holiday Faire. Special features for children include Story time with Santa at 10:30 a.m. and the Kid’s Only Market. A chili lunch is available 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

For more than 40 years, the faire has been sponsored by the Carson Valley United Methodist Church, United Women in Faith. Profits from the Faire support women’s and children’s charities locally and around the world.
