After a more than a year-old pandemic delay, the “Heavenly Holiday Faire” is back.

Featuring homemade cinnamon pecan rolls and a chili lunch, the holiday faire is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Carson Valley United Methodist Church, 1375 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville.

The public is invited to purchase handmade gifts, home baked goodies, Kid’s Only Market and themed Gift Basket Raffle.

The United Methodist Women have handcrafted gifts, fall and Christmas holiday decorations, wreaths, table centerpieces and baked goodies for a holiday fair. All proceeds are donated to local, national and international women’s and children’s charities and missions.

Overall Co-chairs Sharon Calvert and Susan Hamarlund shared, “The Heavenly Holiday Craft Faire will have something for the whole family: Handcrafted Gifts, Ornaments, wreaths, Jewelry, Holiday and Western Décor, Grandma’s Attic of gently used holiday items, Home-baked Goodies and candy, chili lunch and a Storytime with Santa.” You could be a winner of one of the Silent Auction items, like a Coach computer bag, NV Ghost Town Tour, a large Dooney & Bourke leather bag, jewelry, hand-quilted holiday wall hanging, and much more.

“We have a large number of members who share their time and talents all year long to make amazing hand-made gifts and decorations for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays,” said craft co-chairs Nancy Raymond and Debbie Hampell. “Holiday items include table runners, wall hangings and ornaments, plus hand knitted scarfs, hats, pet pillows Each year we come up with new ideas for decor, as well as make traditional centerpieces and wreaths for fall and Christmas.”

Helen Browning and Linda Kozak, co-chairs of the raffle gift baskets, report that raffle baskets will include themes of golf package, Mexican food, decorative cookie jars, Nevada, wine and more.
