Genoa, Nev. — Genoans conduct their delayed meeting 5:30 p.m. tonight with the selection of a new town manager at top of mind. The Town Board will also talk about opposing a cell tower behind the Genoa Fire Station. The Genoa Town Board meets in the Town Hall on Main Street.

Gardnerville Town Board members are recommending that the no left-turn from Highway 395 to Toler Lane be removed. Resident Lauren Neumann is leading the charge after she received a $138 ticket.

The town board tackled two projects running in size from 29 to 1,020 units at their Tuesday night meeting. Both projects face basic questions that are essentially beyond the town board’s scope and will have to be worked out down the road.

Gardnerville Elementary School is conducting its annual veterans assembly 0900 today. I went to Scarselli for their assembly on Tuesday.

County commissioners spent about five hours on the strategic plan on Tuesday. I stopped by on my way to Scarselli and got a few photos.

A bear was struck and killed on Highway 395 near Ray May Way in the Pine Nuts early this morning. Keep an eye out for wildlife while traveling pretty much anywhere across the county.

It hailed in Alpine View on Tuesday, according to a photo I received.  I anticipated it would be a bit colder than it is this morning, and that might come to fruition tonight. Today’s forecast calls for a high temperature of 50 degrees and a low tonight of 16.
