A public memorial service is 2 p.m. today at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center for those lost on board a medical transport plane that crashed the night of Feb. 24.

On Friday, more than 40 mourners gathered for a candlelight vigil at Carson Valley Medical Center in Gardnerville to remember former caregiver and REMSA Care Flight nurse Ed Pricola.

Pricola, pilot Scott Walton, Care Flight Paramedic Ryan Watson, patient Mark Rand and his wife Terri were identified as those killed in the crash by family members.

Guardian Flight is the aviation vendor for Care Flight, a service of REMSA Health.

Walton was a Guardian Flight employee.

The healthcare providers killed in the crash were Care Flight-REMSA Health employees.

A Care Flight helicopter and crew are based at Carson Valley Medical Center.
