Wreck backs up traffic from top to bottom of Indian Hills

As many as five vehicles were involved in a rear-end collision ing the northbound lanes of Highway 395 at the intersection with Jacks Valley Road on Thursday morning.

At least one person was transported from the 10:50 a.m. collision.

The collision blocked traffic from the top of the hill where Jacks Valley Road meets North Sunridge down to the base at South Sunridge.

Motorists were turned down Mica Drive and to North Sunridge where they could turn north onto the highway.

East Fork firefighters and medics responded to the collision, along with Douglas County deputies and the Nevada State Police.

The state police are in charge of the investigation into the collision.
