Wreck snarls northbound commute on Highway 395

One person was transported to Renown Regional Medical Center after a head-on collision on Highway 395 just south of Indian Hills.

The collision was first reported at around 7:35 a.m. near Silver City RV Park. One vehicle passenger reportedly had lacerations to his head as a result.

East Fork firefighters and medics responded to the collision, as did the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and Nevada Highway Patrol.

When first-responders arrived all the occupants of the vehicles were ambulatory.

East Fork medics transported one person to Renown Regional Medical Center.

The northbound lanes of the highway were closed for around 40 minutes snarling the morning commute. Traffic was backed up to at least Stephanie Way.

Expect some residual traffic slowdowns as debris from the wreck is cleared from the highways and Nevada Highway Patrol troopers investigate the collision.
