Kids & Horses, located in Carson Valley, hosting a fund raiser to build a barn.
A Raise the Barn fundraiser is 4-8 p.m. Sept. 16 at the Crystal Bay Casino Crown Room to support Kids & Horses in Carson Valley.
The event will feature Live music by Reckless Envy, line dancing with Country Casey, BBQ dinner catered by Crystal Bay Casino, and spirit tasting with 72 Mile Spirits.
The group’s powered farm equipment is currently occupying half of the hay barn, and due to its exposure to the elements, it is also putting the equipment at risk for damage.
“The addition of the new building will also allow us to free up space in our hay storage, which will increase our capacity to store food for our herd, and reduce the cost and frequency of delivery,” Special Projects Coordinator Amanda Lotter.
