Auditions for Sierra Star Search

Kids & Horses Therapeutic Riding Program hosts singing auditions for the Sierra Star Search, 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, at Incline High School.

Ten middle and high school students will be chosen to compete in an a cappella performance at the annual Kids & Horses barbecue fundraiser on Sept. 12. The top prize is $1,000 for first place.

The fundraiser dinner includes a Western-style barbecue by Brimm's A Catering Company and Austin's Restaurant, entertainment, raffle prizes, silent and live auctions at 5 p.m. Sept. 12. Roger and Elise Norman, owners of the Crystal Bay Club Casino, are donating the use of the Crown Room.

Dinner tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for children 12 and younger and may be purchased at Bowl Incline, Austin's Restaurants in Reno and Incline, Century 21 McGregor Realty, Art's Coffee House, Double W Ranch or at the door. Multiple table discounts available.

Kids & Horses Inc. offers horsemanship as therapy to improve lives of children and adults with physical and emotional disabilities.
