Genoa, Nev. — A minor traffic collision involving two vehicles up at northbound Highway 395 and Topsy could result in some delays for this morning’s commute. The vehicles are out of the lane and no one was hurt.


Nearly two dozen properties being held in trust by Douglas County worth $200,679 are being proposed to be sold at auction. Among the properties are the old Stor-It Mini Storage in TRE and an abandoned mine in far northeastern Douglas County.


Commissioners have a long meeting today that won’t be shortened by two VHR Advisory Board appeals at the end of the agenda. Commissioners meet 1 p.m. today at the Minden Courthouse, 1616 Eighth St. You can obtain an agenda and instructions on watching the meeting at www.douglascountynv.gov


Expect sunny skies today with a high near 53 degrees and the wind calm around 5 mph. We’ll see a cool-down on Friday with the high around 43 degrees and a bit breezier conditions.
