Genoa, Nev. — A coronavirus vaccination clinic is 4-5:30 p.m. today at the Douglas County Senior Center. Douglas is home to the first omicron variant case in the Quad Counties, so if you were thinking about taking the shot, now might be the time.


Genoa Western Heritage Days is asking Genoa Town Board members to approve use without fees for the Town Church, hall, kitchen fire bay and Genoa Park during the event, which is April 29-May 1 this year.


Clerk-Treasurer Amy Burgans is continuing her redistricting road tour 5:30 p.m. at the Genoa Town Hall. The town is currently included in the Lake Tahoe commission district 4, but some residents have expressed a desire to be in a different district.


A lease agreement between Minden and Douglas County to lease part of the upper story of the Minden Public Works building for data storage goes before the town board 5:30 p.m. today in the CVIC Hall. There’re some budget augmentations, but otherwise it’s a pretty light agenda.


Main Street Gardnerville is looking for three new board members and Carson Valley Arts Council is looking for two, I found out at Gardnerville Town Board last night. You can find out more about Main Street at www.mainstreetgardnerville.org Carson Valley Arts Council is at www.cvartscouncil.com


The forecast calls for mostly sunny skies and a high temperature near 51 degrees. There’s a chance of a little precipitation on Friday, but not a good one. It might be a little breezy, but nothing like Monday.
