Obituary Sterling Warren Lima

Sterling Warren Lima, 97, passed away on January 20, 2014 in Fallon, NV. where he has lived since he was 9 years old.Sterling was born December 2, 1916 in Oakland. Ca. to Frank and Marguerite Lima. He went through Churchill County Schools, graduating from Churchill High School. Sterling was a heavy equipment mechanic, working for many years for Dodge Construction, later he was the shop manager at Helms Construction. He also farmed 120 acre farm and in his spare time he loved to restore old cars. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wallace, Elliot and Chet Lima; sisters, Ruth Lauston and Rosalie Brown; son, Lloyd “Bud” Lima. Sterling is survived by his wife of 77 years, Harriett Lima; daughters Janet Lima; Joan (Skip) Cann all of Fallon; daughter-in-law, Laurie Lima; 9 grandchildren; 23 great- grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice in Sterling’s memory. Services will be private.
