EDITOR:
The purpose of this letter is to encourage you to join me in supporting the re-election of Tom Moore to the Douglas County Board of Trustees. Tom is an experienced board member who keeps his eye on the prize, student achievement. By virtue of his background as an engineer, he is data driven, understands budgets, knows the world of construction contracts, and has a clear understanding of the needs of the Douglas County School District.
These attributes will serve the district well as they try to do more with less to increase student achievement, balance a difficult budget, and build new facilities with the bond monies that the voters approved. Tom is an independent thinker who has the needed experience to lead during these difficult times.
