Forty Douglas High School students have their work on display at the Copeland Gallery in Minden through April 26.

This exhibition, titled Medium-Soft Distortions, presents 40 mixed-media works that students have composed over a yearlong course of study under teacher Kelly Yost.

The exhibition can be viewed Monday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Participating students include Jane Barnes, Molly Mortenson, and Sonya Pendola, who employ mediums ranging from graphite and watercolor to scratchboard.

The Carson Valley Arts Council will host a reception for the student artists 1-3 p.m. April 6. Visitors will be able to interact with the art and the students who created them.

“Carson Valley Arts Council is delighted to present work by Ms. Yost’s accomplished students," said Executive Director Sharon Schlegel. "Their professional level of work presents accomplished and diverse mixed media creative achievements.”
