Services will be held in Arkansas for Sara Jane Davis, 89, a Gardnerville resident who died May 25, 2010.
Mrs. Davis was born on Dec. 17, 1920, in Blytheville, Ark., to Julius and Sarah (McClerkin) Brisendine. She was preceded in death by her husband W.T. Davis.
She moved to Gardnerville from Searcy, Ark., in 1999 to be close to her son and family. She enjoyed quilting, embroidery, and gardening.
She is survived by her son, Dale, and daughter-in-law, Irene; grandson, Matthew, great grandchildren, Nick and Victoria, all of Gardnerville and grandson, Chief Petty Officer Joshua Davis of San Diego. She is also survived by her sister, Marylu (Frank) McDowell of Sikeston, Missouri, and many nieces, nephews and friends. FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is caring for arrangements.
