The Minden and Lampe Park farmers markets open for the season next week.

The Minden Farmers Market is 4 p.m. Tuesday. Buy fresh fruit and vegetables from Northern California growers Palazios, K & J Orchards, Schletewitz Farms and Hungry Mothers.

Meals available include Lira's Market barbecued tri tip and chicken, farmers market German dinners and baked goods from Russell's Mercantile.

Downtown Minden businesses Barone & Reed, Lone Tree Gallery and Tumblewind Antiques are open for evening shopping. Tuesday is Carson Valley business night.

The Lampe Park Farmers Market opens 8 a.m. Wednesday at Lampe Park in Gardnerville. Find an abundance of fresh produce from local Nevada and California certified farms. The farmers market has baked goods, honey, plants, art, flowers, and outdoor furniture. Find a variety of food, farm, and dirt-oriented items.
