A service is 11 a.m. Saturday at Eastside Memorial Park for Wellington resident Richard A. Newman, 82, who died May 7, 2010, at his home.
Born March 16, 1928, in Los Angeles to George and Della Newman, he served in the U.S. Air Force and was an aircraft mechanic. He enjoyed travel.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Claire J. Newman.
He is survived by son Richard Newman, daughter Sandie Valerie; sister Ruth Wallace; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Saturday's service is an inurnment. Cremation will take place at FitzHenry's Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home.
