Betty Fay Stellway

A funeral service is noon Saturday at FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home for 25-year Carson Valley resident Betty Fay Stellway, 80, who died June 21, 2010, in Gardnerville.

Born Jan. 28, 1930, in San Gabriel, Calif., to Lee Harmon and Margaret DeEtta Walton, she lived in Pasadena before moving to Gardnerville.

She worked as a secretary and played steel guitar in her early years. She loved to dance and enjoyed lunch with friends.

She was a member of Valley Christian Fellowship Church, and was a former member of the American Business Women's Association, and a Nevada Day and hospital volunteer.

Mrs. Stellway is survived by her son Kevin (Nancy) Stellway; daughter Valerie (Jim) Frega; sister LeEtta Taylor; grandchildren Travis Frega, Emily Frega, Jason Stellway and Krystle Huffman; four great-grandchildren and niece Vickie Ahlstrom.

Burial will be at Eastside Memorial Park in Minden.

FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
