A graveside service is 11 a.m. Monday at Eastside Memorial Park in Minden for Sharon Ann York, 61, who died Oct. 3, 2009, at her home in Gardnerville.
Born Dec. 5, 1947, in San Diego, Calif., to George and Josephine Rodgers, she married Allan York in El Cajon, Calif., on March 6, 1965.
She owned an amateur radio supply company. The Yorks moved to Carson Valley from Seattle 13 years ago.
Mrs. York was a member of Valley Christian Fellowship. She enjoyed cooking and travel.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband; sons Donald (Brenda) York and Robert (Tammie) York; daughter Marlene (Danny) Collins; brothers John (Lois) Rodgers and Dyle (Linda) Rodgers; sisters Georgenne Hager and Karen (John) Gurley; and six grandchildren.
Burial will take place at Eastside Memorial Park.
Donations may be made in Mrs. York's name to the American Cancer Society.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
