Maryon B. Lewis

Former Gardnerville resident Maryon B. Lewis, 87, died June 7, 2010, in Gold Beach, Ore.,

Born Valentine's Day, 1923, in Handford, Calif., to Carl and Ruth (Warren) Brown, she earned her associates degree and worked in human resources for various hospitality companies and senior centers, spending the most time as director of human resources for Hyatt Hotels.

She married L. John Lewis at Lake Tahoe on Nov. 10, 1973

She enjoyed writing, speaking, San Francisco Giants baseball, watching tennis and football, good music and her grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling, especially cruises to Alaska. She is survived by husband John of Gold Beach; daughters Carol (George) of Gold Beach and Marilyn Fisher of Lake Tahoe; sons Robert Fisher of Fiddletown, Calif., Noel (Karyn) Fisher of Sultan, Wash.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A private funeral service is scheduled.
