Michael A. Lombardo IV

A celebration of life is noon Friday, June 11, at Crossroads Nazarene Church for Gardnerville resident Michael A. Lombardo IV, 24, who died June 5, 2010, in an auto accident.

Born April 18, 1986, in Carson City, "Mikey" was a professional mechanic, who graduated from high school in Klamath Falls, Ore.

He followed his dream of becoming an auto mechanic, attending and graduating from WyoTech in West Sacramento.

He was proficient with computers and an amazing artist, according to his family.

"He was extremely detail-oriented and proficient in every thing he did," said his father, Michael A. Lombardo III. "He was a very caring, very loving person who gave his time freely to those who needed it."

He is survived by mother Veronica Hughes; father Michael A. Lombardo III; brothers Jacob Lombardo, Nick Thun and Dan Delgadillo; sister Michaela Lombardo; grandfather Andy Hughes; grandmothers Arlene Lombardo and Joann Mortimer; and numerous aunts and uncles.

A fellowship meal will follow the service. Family members encourage those attending to feel free to bring a meal or drinks to the celebration of life.

There will also be a memory table, where photos, notes, etc. about him will be on display. Those attending the celebration are asked to add to the table in remembrance.
