A memorial service was May 19 in Gardnerville for resident Joe W. Keesee, who died May 14, 2010, at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center.
Born Sept. 9, 1951, in Albany, Calif., to Joe and Lorraine Dalton Keesee, he moved to Northern Nevada in the late 1970s.
He worked around Carson Valley, doing construction on commercial buildings and homes. He started his own dump truck and wood-cutting businesses. He enjoyed photography and took many photos in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
He married wife LeAnn on Oct. 21, 1986, in Carson City.
He is survived by his wife, of Incline Village; mother Lorraine Souza of Gardnerville; son Cody of Yuba City, Calif.; brother John of Reno; and sister Colleen Genereux of Florence, Ore.
Donations may be made to neuropathy research in Mr. Keesee's name.
