Thanks to Channel 2, Douglas Disposal and community for successful food drive

EDITOR:

Another unbelievable December food drive thanks to all of the supporters of our local Carson Valley Community Food Closet.

The donations received in December, the Channel 2 News Food Drive and the Douglas Disposal annual food drive pickup netted 76,156 pounds of food. Also, specifically for the Christmas giveaway, Snyder Livestock Co. and Snyder Onion donated 800 pounds of onions, Edgewood Companies donated 20 turkeys (265 pounds) and Lira's Supermarket hosted an open house and used those proceeds to donate another 50 turkeys (840 pounds).
