Superintendent search forums scheduled for next two weeks

The Douglas County School District Board of Trustees is holding a series of parent and community meetings to gather information regarding the desired characteristics for the new permanent superintendent of schools in Douglas County.

Each of the meetings will last no more than an hour. The agenda will include an explanation of the process and timeline being used for the selection of the new superintendent and an opportunity for all attendees to give their opinions regarding the desired characteristics for the new superintendent and the major issues that he or she will be facing in the near future.

Everyone is invited to attend any one of the four scheduled meetings.

The first will 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Carson Valley Middle School. The second will be 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Jacks Valley Elementary School.

The third will be 6:30 p.m. Feb. 2 at Pau-Wa-Lu Middle School, and the fourth will be 6:30 p.m. Feb. 3 at Whittell High School.
