Sad beyond belief

EDITOR:

To describe sixth-graders initiating an act of kindness to provide a measure of comfort for homeless animals as barf-inducing is, in my opinion, sad beyond belief. To further say Christmas is not for animals it's for people is to miss the whole point of Christmas. For me, Christmas is the hope of what we can become when compassion is freely given to all, not just a select few.

With the given history of humans this could be construed as barf-inducing. These kids made a conscious decision to step up and be a voice for those who have no voice. To make others aware of a need being met is to make the kindness and compassion grow, to pass it on. You kids are our future, keep passing it on.
