Service is 11 a.m. today at St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Carson City for Richard "Ski" Chrzanowski Jr., who died Dec. 31, 2009, in Carson City. He was 57 years old.
Mr. Chrzan-owski was born Aug. 17, 1952, in Queens, New York, to Richard and Wanda Chrzanowski. In 1993, he accepted a job as battalion chief for Carson City Fire Department, a position he still held at the time of his death.
Mr. Chrzanowski was preceded in death by his father, Richard Chrzanowski Sr. He is survived by his wife June; children Andrew, Sara and Jessica Chrzanowski; mother Wanda Chrzanowski; sisters Barbara Baxter, Ronni Ahnlund and Felicia Herriage; one granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews.
A reception follows today's service. Flower donations may be sent to St. Teresa's Church. Arrangements are in the care of Autumn Funerals & Cremations.
