The fourth day of a special session of the Nevada Legislature sees lawmakers about a quarter of a billion away from hitting their $888 million budget gap. They've tweaked a lot of the governor's proposals. The governor wants them done by Sunday. We'll see how that goes.

It looks like the winter storm that was predicted for this weekend is backing off a little bit. The chance of rain today dropped to 50 percent, though it's up to 100 percent tonight. Forecasters say new rainfall totals of between a quarter and half an inch are possible. It doesn't look like w see any snow out of this storm.

Today, expect the wind to pick up at 1 p.m. with gusts of up to 40 mph for a couple of hours this afternoon. The wind should die back and the rain start to fall around 4 p.m. Expect the biggest blast of rain to fall between 4 p.m. and 3 a.m. tonight. The high today will hit 52 degrees.
