'Grease' continues this weekend

The All City High School/Middle School production of "Grease" is performed 7 p.m. today and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday, at Pau-Wa-Lu Middle School, 701 Long Valley Road in the Gardnerville Ranchos. Have photos taken with cast members at a barbecue dinner of burgers or hot dogs, chips, soda and ice cream for $5. Show tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors. Two for one all-day ice skating passes are available for residents of Minden, Gardnerville, Carson City and Lake Tahoe at the Ice Garden at Heavenly Village in South Lake Tahoe. The Ice Garden's 60-by-90-foot outdoor refrigerated ice arena is open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, depending on weather. Ice skate rental/sharpening services, individual and group skating lessons. Dance extravaganza Saturday

Sierra Ballet Theatre Co. presents their fourth annual "A Dance Extravaganza," 6 p.m. Saturday, at the MontBleu Theater in Stateline. The performance includes three ballets: the contemporary "Rachmaninoff," traditional "Sogno Dei Contadini," and flamenco-inspired "Malaguena." Also on the program are contemporary, lyrical and Bollywood-style jazz dances and the "Cakewalk" ballet. The 22-member Sierra Ballet Theatre's production is choreographed by artistic director Kelly O'Fallon, ballet mistress Irma O'Fallon and previous soloists from the company.
