Two convicts from out of the past are in Judge Dave Gamble's district court this morning, including 46-year-old convicted gym locker thief Timothy Kamchee, who is up for a probation violation, and William P. Oller, 45, who admitted stealing a ring and cash from his land lady back in April 2006. Gamble sent him to drug court, where Oller asked for an opportunity to show that he could get clean. Today we'll learn how he did.

Genoa's holding a strategic planning meeting 6:30 p.m. tonight to determine the town's prioritization of projects. Board members meet in the town hall.

Work on the Douglas County commissioners' chambers continues this week, as painters give the old place a new coat. The county's replacing the carpet next week, which explains where the theater seats went last week for the equalization meeting.

A ridge of high pressure is continuing to build over Nevada, keeping the temperatures warm. Today the forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies with a high of 59 degrees. By Wednesday we'll see the warm spot hit 66, before the next front starts to bring temperatures down. By Friday we're back down into the low 50s with a chance of showers.
